SAE Scholarships

In recognition of the important contributions made by engineers in improving the quality of our lives, particularly those related to mobility, SAE is proud to be able to offer a number of scholarships to qualified students who are interested in the study of engineering and related sciences. These scholarships are made possible by the support of the corporate and academic community.

UBC Campus For Discipline of Mechanical Engineering. This scholarship of $500 is offered by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), British Columbia Section, in memory of former members. It is awarded to a student who is an active member of the student branch of the Society on the campus. Candidates are considered on the basis of academic standing, interest and ability in the field of automotives, and financial need. The award is made on the recommendation of the Departments concerned in consultation with the SAE governing board.

Projects

For the past few years, SAE British Columbia Section has consistently sponsored the projects of student teams of the local universities. The projects include Formula UBC, UBC Heavy Lift Aero Design Team, and UBC Supermileage Team.
